we learn how proud are the Dalmatians of their dialect and vocabulary. The walls of the bar counters in the ferry lounge say it all ....
This is not to say that there is a uniform language used throughout Dalmacija. From Zadar to Split and Dubrovnik, there are differences. From island to island there are differences, and from village to neighbouring village there are differences discernible to the locals.
But I think that there is enough commonality for us to point to interesting variations from the standard Croatian language. I invite you to read the following sub-pages, and comment upon, the entries.
