If this tourist site were in the USA, it would attract 100 million tourists each year. I am sure that it is the most visited tourist spot in the Republic of Croatia.

Water flows from lake to lake. But why is the water flowing away from the Adriatic Sea?

The Korana River flows more or less eastward away from the National Park, rather than toward the coast, because it is running off the East side of the Velebit mountain range.
